I covered Matt and Iryna’s super cool East London Wedding back in the summer. I love London Weddings, Matt is an old friend and colleague, I knew he had met and fallen madly in love with the beautiful Iryna, so I was absolutely honored to get a phone call asking to shoot their wedding. I am always aware that there are hundreds of wedding photographer to choose from and am always genuinely overwhelmed when a couple chooses MBP!
When clients mention that their wedding is going to take place in London and that they have an intimate day planned I am always keen to get on board. There is something special about a simple, laid-back city wedding! something authentic and personal about a couple tieing the knot in their city with a handful of devoted guests. Matt and Iryna were happy for us to take the lead creatively, less set up group shots, more natural portraits of the bride and groom and documentary style coverage of the guests.
After a beautiful ceremony, we took some really fun family shots. Matt and Iryna held their reception at The East London Liquor Company which suited the day perfectly.
There are some weddings where I feel like I’m cheating, I have to remind myself that this is my job because the bride and groom are so welcoming, Matt and Iryna were definitely one of those couples! Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day.
