We get more requests for December weddings than ever, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a time for celebration and for family every year, so by having your wedding near Christmas just notches this up to 11!
With less daylight and cold temperatures, any exterior shots are usually limited to how long our bride can bear to be outside for, so this is where our creative eye kicks into gear. We look to utilise the beautiful interiors of wedding venues, chase that elegant window light in rooms, shoot moody silhouettes and let’s not forget that killer Christmas tree/fairy lights shot!
Here are a few shots from Leanne & Stuarts wedding last year at Mulberry House, High Ongar in Essex. We were particularly lucky with a beautiful haze outside that created lots of atmosphere for some memorable, natural portraits.
