I cannot believe it will be June at the end of the week, the start of summer and more importantly, for Wedding Photographers the start of Wedding Season! This is the time that us Wedding industry suppliers put in some seriously hard graft and I generally have a blast doing what I love and do best; photographing Weddings. I have covered some stunning pre-season weddings already this year, some of which I have already blogged about.
Spring, Autumn and Winter Weddings are all fantastic for their own reasons, but summer is still the most popular time of year to tie the knot. Even with the unpredictable British weather there is still hope of the perfect summers day, longer nights allow for the use of outdoor space (and so many venues have stunning grounds on offer), guests can relax with a drink in the sunshine and from a wedding photographers point of view it is great not to have to chase the light quite so frantically for a few months a year.
I have been lucky enough to cover some amazing summer Weddings over the years, each taking advantage of the season in different ways; traditional English games on perfectly kept lawns, cold Pimm’s on arrival, white bouncy castles in the sun, flip flops for tiered guests and summer festival themed receptions, even a little British summer time rain can add to the atmosphere of the day (remember my shots of the beautiful rainbow at Leonie and Sam’s wedding, check it out here if not!)
My First June Wedding is this weekend and I cannot wait to get stuck into the madness of summer Wedding season! Here are just a few highlights from the summer Weddings I have covered, enjoy and let me know what you think.
I am jam-packed over the next few months, but please don’t let that put you off dropping me a message if you are planning a last-minute Wedding, I may be able to help. Get in touch here.
